How often should I have a check-up and clean?
For most adults, every 6 months works well. If you are at higher risk of decay or gum problems, we may suggest more frequent visits. Regular check-ups catch small issues before they turn into expensive ones.
What happens at a routine check-up?
We examine your teeth, gums, and soft tissues, take X-rays if needed, and follow up with a scale and polish. We then talk through anything we found and what — if anything — needs attention. No pressure, no upselling.
Do you accept private health funds?
Yes. We can process most major health fund claims on the spot using HICAPS, so you only pay the gap. Bring your card to your appointment.
Are tooth-coloured fillings as strong as silver ones?
For most everyday situations, yes. Modern composite materials bond well to the tooth and last for years. For very large fillings under heavy biting force, we may suggest a crown instead — we will explain why if that is the case.
Do you see new patients?
